Harmel - Brand Story

The founder of the company - Mr. Jianchun Shen was born into a family that’s been in textile business for generations in Haining City, Zhejiang Province, China. He started textile design and manufacturing in the 80’s. With great appreciation for art and culture from around the world, he’s keenly attuned to the global interior design trend and adept in applying his knowledge and skills in the fabric design and development. In order to better serve the design community and share his vision in the modern interior design, Mr. Shen founded Harmel Home in 2013 which later changed to Harmel, Inc.

In collaboration with renowned design studios in US and Italy, textile technology and engineer companies, art and technology institutes, and museums, Harmel has created many fabric collections that are modern, luxurious and elegant by incorporating innovative technology and modern design elements to meet today’s life style and set the trend in interior décor. These collections are versatile in style to reflect individuality and international cultures.

 Through the expansion of global distribution channels and establishment of comprehensive customer service framework, through successful partnerships with thousands of fabric distributors, furniture manufacturers and interior design firms, Harmel has become a major fabric supplier to over 500 high end hotel projects around the world.
